Rotary Club of Kowloon North x DALA: Bridging the AI Gap: Hong Kong’s Inclusive Future

Our founding chairman Dr Toa Charm is honoured to speak at the Rotary Club of Kowloon North on how inclusive AI can advance Rotary’s mission of Service Above Self. A heartfelt thanks to Margaret Chau for her invitation and all the participants, especially my CUHK EMBA CUHK EMBA students, joining us today. It was my honor to have met the Rotary leaders especially the legendary leader David Harilela.

AI is no longer just a technology shift — it is a societal responsibility. When guided well, AI becomes a tool for equity, empowerment, and community uplift.

3. AI readiness depends on infrastructure, data quality, and talent.
4. AI can accelerate the SDGs — but only with responsible governance.
5. Global cooperation is essential — and Hong Kong can play a unique bridge role.
