A Heartfelt Thank You for Making “Transforming Health & Life Sciences” a Remarkable Success!

We extend our sincere gratitude to all the healthcareinnovators, researchers, and techleaders who participated in our special event on May 15. Your presence created an engaging environment filled with inspiring discussions. A special thanks to our co-host HKSTP – Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, our collaboration partner Equinix, and our strategic partner Hong Kong Startup Council, for their invaluable support in facilitating this dynamic exploration of AI’s transformative role in healthcare R&D.

The first panel, expertly moderated by Prof. Jimmy Tao from Hong Kong Startup Council 香港初創企業協會, addressed the challenges and opportunities within biomedical R&D. Alongside Prof. Zhao Ni from CUHK, Sam Chu, PhD. of AiHPC, and Eric M. Hui from HKITIC and Equinix, they highlighted the painpoints facing the industry while emphasizing Hong Kong’s unique strengths—our world-class medical system, outstanding doctors, and dedicated researchers— positioning us as a hub for cutting-edge advancements.

The second panel, skillfully led by Alex Hung FF of DALA, explored real-world AI solutions featuring William CHAN from CUHK MedicalCentre, Aaron Lee of Exco member of DALA, and David Chan from Equinix. A particularly engaging discussion focused on longevity, with humans expected to live beyond 100 years. Given that Hong Kong has one of the highest life expectancies globally, the urgency and excitement for AI-driven healthcare innovation have never been greater.

Sam Chu, PhD. Chu of AiHPC & Equinix presented a demo highlighting how innovation is overcoming challenges in various clinical and R&D environments.

We were excited to see such enthusiastic participation and meaningful exchanges throughout the event. We look forward to maintaining this momentum as we collectively shape the future of healthcare.

Stay tuned for more updates, exciting events, and announcements regarding the DALAAwards2025!
